Bio
Angeline joined Founders Pledge as Financial Controller in Feb 2021. Prior to joining FP, she was working for Mind as a Finance Business Partner. Qualifications & Education: BA General & Post Grad. Certificate in Education (University of Zimbabwe), Diploma of Chartered Institute of Secretaries & Administrators (ICSA) & a Fellow ACCA member. Outside of work she loves listening to music as this is quite a refreshing way of ending my work day. Food wise, she has recently developed a craving for Indian curry dishes and has given herself a target of preparing at least one new dish every month. Her covid-style weekend routine is usually focused on her well being and home based fitness training and occasional long walks, otherwise it would be travelling.
Q&A with Angeline
Q: If you could choose anyone famous (real or fictional) to have dinner with who would they be and why?
William Wilberforce, for spearheading one of the greatest, most heroic and successful human rights campaigns to end slavery and the slave trade.
Q: As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
No clearly defined career path until I was in the latter stages of my secondary education. Then, my dream was to work in the bank because I believed everyone who worked in the bank is rich. So no idea of what job I would do but just working in the bank would be enough, so I thought.
Q: If a movie was made of your life what genre would it be, who would play you?
I love true story movies because you learn about real stuff from real people's experiences. The best actress to play me would be Danai Jekesa Gurira, the Zimbabwean-American actress, who has featured in a number of films such as the Black Panther. Though younger than me, I feel her Zimbabwean roots and her own personal journey would perfectly mirror mine.
