Bio
Esme joined Founders Pledge in April 2022 as Head of Programmes and Events. Prior to this, she spent 7 years working within UK cultural institutions, specialising in major gifts fundraising, donor stewardship and events. Motivated by Founders Pledge' mission to empower entrepreneurs to do the most good, she is passionate about creating inspiring, engaging experiences that alter perspective.
Esme originally trained as an actor and is still a lover of theatre and film (although she's very happy to remain an audience member!). She also enjoys pilates, Italian food and anything written or produced by Jesse Armstrong.
Q&A with Esme
Q: If you could choose anyone famous (real or fictional) to have dinner with who would they be and why?
Hungarian-Canadian doctor and author Gabor Maté. I think one dinner with him would be enough for some important life lessons! I love how he bridges the gap between science and spirituality.
Q: As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
Ballet dancer!
Q: If a movie was made of your life what genre would it be, who would play you?
A slightly surreal indie coming-of-age, like something directed by Miranda July. I'd probably be played by Margaret Qualley.
