Bio
Having worked in finance for over 25 years, largely in the media and tech sectors, Sean joined Founders Pledge in January 2024 as CFO. He manages all things financial, and oversees the Philanthropic Services team as well as keeping a watchful eye on Risk, Compliance and Impact Analytics. He has an MA from Oxford and is an ACA qualified accountant.
Outside of work he did a lot of travel when younger across Africa and Asia, and is looking forward to doing more of that now that the kids have grown up.
Q&A with Sean
Q: If you could choose anyone famous (real or fictional) to have dinner with who would they be and why?
Difficult one…. I’d like to say someone with something interesting to say about the human condition - Gandhi, Socrates, or Shakespeare. However, if I am honest I’d probably just invite myself round to the house of someone who can cook really well, so I will go for Atul Kochhar or Nigella Lawson.
Q: As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
An architect. It seemed like the coolest job to have. Unfortunately I didn't have the drawing skills or the engineering skills.
Q: If a movie was made of your life what genre would it be, who would play you?
Matt Damon. In a decent but lucrative action thriller franchise. Think Bourne movies but with more spreadsheets.
